FE Report
Small investors of Khulna have demanded speedy settlement of the case filed against a Securities and Exchange Commission amendment which prevented the investors from getting dividends of the mutual funds.
A petition signed by 97 small investors urged that all the regulators should take prompt action to settle the case which will pave the way for getting the accumulated dividends approved by the mutual funds of Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) in the year 2007-08.
Meanwhile, an ICB source told the FE that a few hearings have already taken place on the settlement of the case and hopefully the legal war will be ended shortly.
A group of investors filed the case against the SEC amendment which restricted the mutual funds to issue bonus shares.
