Dr Salahuddin examined the frequency and intensity of cyclones from the East Indian Ocean to the coasts of Papua New Guinea, and related this information to wind, ocean temperatures, and climate change.
Ahmed has recently received his PhD in Coastal Resources Management (CRM) from East Carolina University (ECU), USA and his dissertation was entitled "Intraseasonal and Interannual Analysis of the Organisation of Mesoscale Convective Systems in the Indo-Pacific Region Using Satellite Measurements".
