Rajshahi regional office of National Bank Limited organised a managers' conference at a hotel in Bogra recently.

Development of distribution system and recovery of SME loan by the branches were discussed at the meeting, says a press release.

NBL Managing Director Md Abdur Rahman Sarker was chief guest of the discussion while Senior Vice President and Rajshahi Regional Head Farhad Ahmed Chowdhury presided over it.

The managing director, in his speech, emphasised poverty alleviation by way of providing agricultural and weaving loans and all sorts of SME loan including women entrepreneur loans by the bank.

He recalled how the bank's loan contributed enormously to save the loan-ridden farmers and weavers from the clutches of Mohajan.
