Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) and Sony Rangs signed a zero-per cent InstaBuys agreement in the city recently, said a press release.
Rangs Group of Companies Chairman and Managing Director Aktar Hussain and SCB Regional Head of Consumer Banking Sandeep Bose signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Also present in the signing ceremony were Rangs Group Controller (Accounts and Finance) Tejendra K Roy, Rangs Electronics Manager (Marketing and Distribution) Tanvir Hossain and SCB head of Marketing Gitanka D Datta along with other senior officials of both the organisations.
Under the agreement, the bank's credit cardholders (excluding Saadiq) will be allowed to purchase any product at selected Sony Rangs showrooms priced over Tk 5,000 absolutely at zero interest for three months and up to six months' installment plan for selective products.
For example, an AC of particular model worth Tk 36,000 can be purchased with only a monthly installment of Tk 6,000 over a period of six months.
