Agrani Bank Limited (ABL) opened its exchange booth at the Departure Lounge of Zia International Airport (ZIA) in the city Monday, said a press release.
ABL Board of Directors Chairman Siddiqur Rahman Choudhury and Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh Chairman Air Commodore Mahmud Hussain formally inaugurated the exchange booth.
Also present in the inaugural ceremony were ABL Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Syed Abu Naser Bukhtear Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director Md Fayekuzzaman and general managers Md Mofazzal Husain and Shamsul Islam, ZIA Director Wing Commander M Saeedul Hasan Khan and the bank and civil aviation executives.
Bangladeshi nationals while travelling outside the country can purchase foreign currencies or travellers cheque equivalent to rest of his annual travellers quota from the booth.
Non-resident Bangladeshi and foreign nationals, who are visiting Bangladesh for a short period can also purchase foreign currencies or travellers cheque equivalent to US$ 100 out of their unused taka converted earlier by showing encashment certificate of any authorised dealer or authorised money changers of the country.
The ABL chairman mentioned that the officers and employees of the bank should perform their duty sincerely and ensure better customer services with professional attitude.
