ULC recommends dividend

The board of directors of United Leasing Company (ULC) has recommended 20 per cent cash dividend and 1B:7 stock (one bonus share for every seven shares) dividends for the year that ended on December 31, '08. The annual general meeting (AGM) of the company will be held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre, Sher-E-Bangla Nagar, in the city on April 2, '09. The record date is March 17, '09. There will be no price limit on the trading of the shares of the company today (Tuesday) following its corporate declaration.

IDLC board meet tomorrow

As per regulation 30 of DSE listing regulations, the 161st meeting of the board of directors of IDLC will be held tomorrow (Wednesday) for consideration of accounts of 2008, declaration of entitlement for shareholders, fixing date, time and agenda for holding of the 24th AGM of the company.

HC asks Premier Bank to hold AGM

The High Court after hearing an appeal in connection with condonation of delay for holding ninth AGM of the bank passed an order Sunday asking the authorities of the bank to call and hold the ninth AGM of the bank within June 30, '09.

SEC denies Dhaka Bank bonds offer

The SEC in a letter to Dhaka Bank Limited (DBL) has stated that as the bank did not comply with certain requirements the Commission is not in a position to process the bank's application for issuance of subordinated convertible bonds through private placement.

Call to collect dividend warrants

Spot market trading

Spot market trading and block/odd lot transactions of the shares of Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) will be settled as per spot settlement cycle with cum benefit between today (Tuesday) and Thursday (February 26). Trading of the shares of the bank will remain suspended on record date on March 1, '09 for AGM and extraordinary general meeting (EGM).

Withdrawal of authorised representative
