FE Report
A total of eight candidates are contesting in the elections of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) to be held tomorrow (Wednesday).
Four directors will be elected in the polls where a total of 227 DSE members will cast votes.
The candidates are M A Hashem of Greenland Equities Ltd, Ghulam Quader of GQ Securities Ltd, MA Mumin of Surma Securities Holding Company Ltd, Dastagir Md Adil of Adil Securities Ltd, Md Feroz Khan of Eminent Securities Ltd, Md Shahjahan of Jahan Securities Ltd, Md Rafiqul Islam of Parkway Securities Ltd and Md Shakil Rizvi of Shakil Rizvi Stock Ltd.
As per article 81 of DSE constitution, four directors resign voluntarily to pave the way for electing four new policy-makers every year in the 12-member board of directors.
The new directors will replace Mr Sharif Ataur Rahman, Mr Md Abdullah Bokhari, Mr Azizul Hoque and Mr Shahed Abdul Khaleque.
