EXIM Bank holds managers' conference

The Branch Managers' Conference 2009 of Export Import (EXIM) Bank of Bangladesh Limited was held at a city hotel Saturday.

EXIM Bank Chairman Md Nazrul Islam Mazumder was present as the chief guest while Managing Director Kazi Masihur Rahman presided over the conference.

The chairman urged all for enhancing investment in productive and potential sectors. He expressed his satisfaction over the achievement of the bank during the year 2008, said a press release.

Among directors AKM Nurul Fazal Bulbul, Md Abdul Mannan, Md Shahidullah and Mahbubur Rashid were present at the conference.

Additional Managing Director Ekramul Haque, Deputy Managing Director Md Sirajul Islam Bhuiyan and Mohammed Haider Ali Miah, all branch managers and executives of head office were also present on the occasion.

The managing director highlighted overall performance of the year. He urged the branch managers for accelerating the growth of the bank in the year 2009.

Starting its commercial operation on August 3,1999, the bank has now 43 branches across the country.

"Within a span of only few years, our bank has taken care of its all stakeholders including the clients, depositors and shareholders and thus earned the benchmark reputation of 'caring bank'," managing director of the bank Kazi Masihur Rahman said.

He said the Bank has already consolidated its position through able guidelines of the board of directors and dynamic leadership of the bank management led by its chairman, Nazrul Islam Mazumder, in tandem with sincere and professional efforts of the bank officials and employees.
