The 'Bangladesh single country trade fair' was held at Sharjah in United Arab Emirates (UAE) recently, says a press release.
Different manufacturing companies, banks, financial organisations and other firms from Bangladesh participated in the fair.
Pubali Bank Limited also participated in the fair to expand and promote foreign remittance from UAE by Bangladeshi expatriates.
A delegation of Pubali Bank met Bangladesh Ambassador in UAE Md Nazmul Quaunine and had a fruitful discussion with him.
Pubali Bank Director Moniruddin Ahmed, Managing Director Helal Ahmed Chowdhury and DGM of ID Md Hasan Ali were present at the meeting.
Moniruddin Ahmed thanked the Bangladeshi expatriates for increasing the trend of economic development of our country.
The managing director stressed the need to remit the earnings of Bangladeshis through official channels in consideration of the Anti Money Laundering Act. He gave assurance to expedite the remittance to the beneficiaries in Bangladesh at a quickest possible time.
The delegates also exchanged views with exchange companies of the UAE regarding remittance flow and met the Bangladeshi expatriates for sending remittance through exchange companies to Bangladesh.
Delegates of PBL had a fruitful discussion with four exchange companies about remittance, which will be effective after obtaining permission from Bangladesh Bank.
