Work of the Padma Bridge would be completed during the tenure of the present government, Communications Minister Syed Abul Hossain said Wednesday, reports BSS.

"Foundation laying, construction and inauguration of the Padma Bridge would be done under this government," the minister said while talking to the reporters at his ministry in Secretariat.

Secretary of the Communications Ministry Iqbal Mahmud was also present.

Abul Hossain said the speedy progress of the Dhaka-Chittagong four-lane road construction would be ensured.

In another question, he said besides the Padma Bridge, survey would be started for construction of the Paturia-Daulatdia bridge.
