City Bank board revalues bank's assets

The board of directors of the City Bank has approved the revaluation of bank's following assets conducted by Geodetic Survey Corporation Limited: 1. Lands revalued from book value of Tk 751.40 million to Tk 1.30 billion, increased by Tk 553.40 million and 2. Buildings revalued from book value of Tk 381.70 million to Tk 666.70 million, increased by Tk 285 million.

Standard Ceramic degraded

The shares of Standard Ceramic will be placed in "B" category from existing "A" category with effect from tomorrow (Thursday), as the board of directors of the company has recommended 5.0 per cent cash dividend for the year 2007-2008.

BD Welding upgraded

The shares of Bangladesh Welding Electrodes will be placed in "B" category from existing "Z" category with effect tomorrow (Thursday), as the authorities of the company have confirmed disbursement of 5.0 per cent cash dividend (for general shareholders only) for the year that ended on December 31, '07.

Confirmation of share sale/purchase

NCC Bank: Mr Aslam-ul-Karim and Mr Md Mijanur Rahman, both sponsors of NCC Bank Limited, have stated that they have completed their sale/purchase of 25,000 shares each at prevailing market price through stock exchange as announced earlier.

Progressive Life Insurance: Mr Pradip Sen and Mr Nasir Ali Shah, both sponsors of Progressive Life Insurance Company Limited, have stated that they have completed their sale/purchase of 5,000 shares each at prevailing market price through stock exchange as announced earlier.
